Website Project Overview

The Hudson Business Association is made up of local business owners seeking to connect with each other and our greater community. They have a strong belief that local business can only become stronger through these vital areas of connection.

"It was nice going over the new site - you’ve all done a beautiful job in helping us achieve a vision and future for this HBA! Bravo!"

Business Association Website Redesign Challenge

The Hudson Business Association was formed in early 2008 by local business owners and government officials, the Hudson Business Association strives to be a vital organization aimed at inclusion, deeper connection, and information. Keeping you up to date with local events, town news, and cultural resources, the Hudson Business Association aims to serve as a resource for existing and prospective businesses to aid in professional development, business retention and expansion.

The site was difficult to navigate; potential and current members were not able to find information on the website or online. The website needed a refresh with a clean, modernized design with accessibility in mind. Because there are over 60+ business association members, the non-profit organization needed a clear way to promote and feature its current members, events, news, events and have online registration payment.

Business Association Website Redesign Solution

Our designers began by creating a sitemap and clear, modern layout for the new website. Together with the HBA team, they decided which elements should carry over to the new business association website design. Additionally, our designers tightened the branding with their new logo to create a cohesive design that would carry throughout the site.

Furthermore, the Ladybugz Interactive team developed and modernized the following aspects of the new business association website design:

  • PayPal integration for current and new members to pay online through the site;
  • An organized anchor menu by business service type for easy navigation through the 60+ members;
  • Additional Featured Businesses page to highlight current business association members;
  • Clear calls to action for potential members to join the business association;
  • Addition of an events page and sponsor listing for local events in the Hudson area throughout the year;
  • SEO integration to meet current digital marketing and SEO standard practices;
  • Personalized approach to board members and how they help the local Hudson community.
