“We’d like to thank the academy…”
The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, that is. This organization recognizes and honors the power of web creativity by presenting its prestigious W3 Awards.
The W3 Awards honors creative excellence on the web and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites, videos, and marketing programs. The W3 is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals.
The first W3 Award is for Kidsborough, a before- and after-school and summer program that provides enrichment-based curriculum programs to children in grades K-8. The new website utilizes a colorful palette and playful candid photos of children at work and play.
“We are thrilled to have worked for Kidsborough, a local Massachusetts, and woman-owned company,” said Miller. She added, “Kidsborough founder, Christine Rowler, has done outstanding things in the educational community. We are proud that we created a website that reflects everything Kidsborough stands for! It was a pleasure and honor to work with Christine.”
The second W3 Award was for Onconova Therapeutics, a Pennsylvania-based biopharmaceutical start-up that focuses on discovering and developing novel small molecule drug candidates to treat cancer.
“They are doing amazing work to find a cure for a very complex type of blood cancer,” says Miller.
The website features an exciting use of color and close-up photography to add to the interest and engagement of the reader. The site also offers various page layouts, charts, and an interactive drug development timeline.
“We are proud to have produced award-winning websites for both these great companies!”
