One mistake we see ALL the time on Wedding Venue Websites is, bad photography.

We have learned from online marketing experience that staged photography is one of the best marketing tools out there for an event venue, namely weddings.

When we design websites for clients, especially wedding venues, we highly recommend styled, staged, photo shoots with our clients.

There are a few reasons why we believe actual wedding photographs do not work…

1. Brides might not like the way the venue is styled for that particular wedding

2. Every bride has a vision for her wedding, usually it’s not somebody else’s vision or somebody else’s wedding

3. The wedding photographer was not there to take pictures of the space

4. The room is not shown from different angles with different setups

5. This photo shoot was not created with marketing the venue in mind

In our experience, properly photographing wedding venues (and other businesses) is the key to the success of the venue’s web site lead generation.

After styling, staging and photographing for one of  our wedding venue clients and some SEO, lead generation not only nearly tripled, but the quality of the leads they generated also increase. With an 80 per cent close rate on leads,  their wedding business almost tripled for 2013.

What changed?

We recommended that the wedding venue create a new photo centric website using styled, staged photos that showed off that space. Brides commented on how they never imagined the spaces to look so inviting. The property also had more than one space, but only one space was selling.

With the photo shoot we were able to highlight the three spaces they were offering, giving brides a better venue choice for their wedding.

If you have a wedding or event venue and you want to increase your lead generation and sales, a styled, staged photo shoot might be the best option for you.

Not only can you use the photos on your website, you can also dress up your wedding menu or wedding package, and use the photos for social media and advertising.

If you have a beautiful venue but are not generating the leads you want from your website and social media programs. Give us call today! We can help!
